Your company runs on people doing the same thing twice
I find those jobs, build the system that does them instead, and leave it running.
Sound familiar?
- Someone copies data between two systems every morning
- A report gets rebuilt by hand every Monday
- Orders arrive by email and get retyped into something else
- You need three people because every handoff is manual
- The tool you bought does 60% of the job and a person does the other 40%
None of that is really a software problem. It's usually a joining problem:
two systems that don't talk to each other, and a person in the middle who has
quietly become the integration.
How it works
-
A few days watching. I sit with the people doing the work
and map what actually happens, not what the process document says. Most of
the value is here. The expensive part is rarely where anyone thought it was.
-
A short list. I come back with the two or three things worth
automating, what each one saves, and what each one costs to build. You pick.
If nothing on the list is worth the money, I'll tell you that too.
-
I build it. Scripts, integrations, a small internal tool, an
AI step where it genuinely helps. Against your real data and your real edge
cases, not a demo that works on tidy examples.
-
I hand it over and leave. The code, the documentation, and a
walkthrough with whoever owns it afterwards. If it needs me to keep running,
I built it wrong.
What I actually build
Eight years of it, mostly joining systems that were never designed to talk to
each other. APIs and webhooks where there is an API, automation platforms where
there is not, and a real script or small app when neither is a good fit.
Platforms I work in most
Zapier, Make, Pipedream, Airtable, Go HighLevel, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive,
ActiveCampaign, Zoho, Monday.com, Notion, Asana, Trello, Linear, Twilio, Aircall,
Demio, Stripe, PayPal, Xero, QuickBooks, Google Sheets and Workspace.
I write a lot of it up on this site, so you can see how I work before you talk to
me. A few worth reading:
connecting Demio to Go HighLevel
so webinar registrants land in the CRM by themselves,
syncing Google Sheets with Monday.com,
and triaging Zoho email by rules
instead of by hand.
What this isn't
Not a retainer. Not a seat on your team. Not a platform you rent from me. And not
"AI transformation": sometimes the honest answer is a forty-line script, and I'd
rather tell you that than sell you a model you don't need.
Where to start
A thirty-minute call, free. Tell me what's eating the most time. If I'm not
the right person for it I'll say so, and I usually know who is.
